Free Editor and Librarian Software For Jupiter-X, Jupiter-Xm Synthesizers

Roland has introduced a free graphical editor and librarian app, Jupiter-X Editor, for both macOS & Windows.

The Roland Jupiter-X and Xm synths offer plenty of fast hands-on control, but they are also deep machines that have a lot going on under the hood.

To help you access the instruments’ finer details, Roland JUPITER-X Editor – for both the Jupiter-X and Jupiter-Xm –  a standalone graphical editor and librarian for managing scenes and individual tones in one place. The editor offers a powerful Scene Builder for designing complex layers and performance setups, and a Part Editor that features the massive parameter section available for the ZEN-Core engine and Model Expansions.

When connected, the hardware and editor work together seamlessly, with real-time updates when changes are made.

The JUPITER-X Editor can be downloaded for free today via Roland Cloud Manager.

IK Multimedia SampleTron 2 plugin Goes Beyond Creating The Mellotron

IK Multimedia SampleTron 2 plugin is more than a Mellotron, offering tape-based instruments galore.

IK Multimedia SampleTron was released more than a decade ago, but a new version looks set to put it back on the vintage keyboard plugin agenda.

The SampleTron II represents a complete overhaul of the original software, which emulated tape-based instruments such as the iconic Mellotron. Version 2 combines the sound engine from IK SampleTank 4 with its tape-modelling technology, and includes ‘deep-sampled’ versions of vintage Mellotron and Chamberlin tapes.

Besides, you also get a new collection of ‘non-Tron’ acoustic sounds such as choir, strings, brass, organ, piano and bass, along with synths and vocoders. These all come with tape processing, too, and the flexibility extends even further with the option to import your own samples.

In addition, Presets in SampleTron 2 are formed from up to three ‘Tracks’ with more than 400 are included and all ten of the vintage keyboard models are designed to look like their hardware counterparts. You can adjust the volume, pan, finetune, transpose, and high and low note range for each Track, and there are additional synth-style controls, including a filter that can be applied to each track individually or all of them combined. Effects include a channel strip with EQ and compressor, a multi-modulation effect, and a vintage plate reverb.

The SampleTron II can works both standalone and as a plugin (VSTS/AU/AAX), and can also be used as a library in SampleTank 4.1.4

SampleTron 2 is available now with an introductory price of $200/€200. Existing customers should see the site for upgrade pricing.

Sinevibes’s Revelation Sound Library For Korg Prologue

Sinevibes has introduced  Revelation Sound Library For The Korg Prologue

Sinevibes developer Artemiy Pavlov is best known as a developer of audio effects for macOS, and of custom oscillators and effects for the Korg Prologue, Minilogue XD and NTS-1.

His latest release is Revelation, a sound library for Korg Prologue. Unlike his previous releases that extend the Prologue’s synth engine, Revelation is designed to showcase the potential of the synth’s built-in capabilities.

Here’s what he has to say about it:

Many months in the making, this sound pack only uses prologue’s standard synth engine, taking it to the maximum of its capabilities. Revelation delivers a wide range of highly polished presets: bass, lead, poly, keys, pads, motion sounds, combinations, and more. Every sound has been designed to be a joy to play – and immediately inspire new musical ideas. The pack contains a total of 110 presets.

Revelation is available now for $39. More audio demos are available at the Sinevibes site.
