Output Unveils AI-Powered Co-Producer ‘The Fastest Way To Find Samples That Fit Your Music’

Output’s AI-powered Co-Producer listens to your project and chooses samples for you

Today, Output unveils Co-Producer, a new plugin that sits on your master bus and listens to your project, analyzing its rhythm and harmony before suggesting royalty-free samples from Output’s library to augment the track.

If you are a songwriter or producer that likes to work with sample libraries, you’ve likely spent a considerable amount of time scrolling through a seemingly endless list of sounds, seeking out samples that spark inspiration or fit with an existing project.

Output’s Co-Producer is designed to speed up that process, which the company describes as “one of the biggest challenges in music production”. Billed as “the fastest way to find samples that fit your music”, Co-Producer is an AI-powered plugin.

Open up Co-Producer and you’ll be given the option to play either four or eight bars of audio into the plugin to be analyzed. Before searching for appropriate samples, you’re asked to provide Co-Producer with your track’s key signature, and given the option to add a text prompt that tells the plugin what instrument, genre or vibe you’re looking for.

Once you’ve hit the search button, Co-Producer will return a list of samples that should match up harmonically and rhythmically with your project. You’re able to preview the sounds from within the plugin, with sounds synced to the appropriate key and tempo, before dragging and dropping to your timeline. Samples can also be dropped into Output’s sampler plugin Arcade to be transformed into playable instruments.

Co-Producer is a subscription-based plugin that gives users access to a regularly updated library of “premium, musician-made” samples. Output gives all subscribers unlimited access to its entire sample library, rather than operating a credit-based system like sample platforms such as Splice.

“We built Co-Producer to address the real frustrations of music makers. After talking with thousands of writers and producers, it was clear that endlessly scrolling for samples held back creativity,” says Output CEO Gregg Lehrman.

“Artists want sounds that fit their track from the start, with the ability to preview them in context and drag-and-drop directly from within their DAW. They also don’t like the credits system that many companies have.”

“We’re not using AI to generate audio—we’re using it to improve how music makers work,” adds Spencer Salazar, Output’s Head of R&D. “By combining language models, audio analysis, and a scalable engine, we deliver high-quality, musician-made results that are 100% free and clear to use.”

Here’s the official walkthrough:

Output Co-Producer is available now for $9.99/month and a 7-day free trial is available.

Klevgrand Launches Elpiano – Classic Keys Collection

Today, Klevgrand releases their latest instrument, Elpiano – Classic Keys Collection, an electric piano plug-in.

Elpiano, Swedish for electric piano, is designed to capture the authentic feel and sounds of classic electric pianos thanks to the new custom algorithm that powers the plug-in.

Tobias Engström, CEO & Co-founder of Klevgrand said, “With 20 years of development expertise and nearly 30 years of playing piano on stage and in studios, we’ve channeled our love for Rhodes and Wurlitzer pianos into a plug-in that is incredibly easy to use, exceptionally responsive, and delivers a rich, authentic sound that inspires pure joy while playing.”

Roads to perfection. Klevgrand felt the need for an electric piano plug-in that sounded exceptional, was inspiring to play, and at the same time captured the essence of iconic instruments. By combining a new proprietary algorithm/sound engine, decades of piano experience and Klevgrand award-winning effects, Elpiano was created. A piano that is powerful, lightweight, flexible and intuitive.

The Elpiano plug-in lets you switch between 10 different piano models. You can choose to play with a clean and authentic sound right out of the box, or explore creative tweaks impossible with traditional sampled virtual piano instruments. Each model is carefully handcrafted and tweaked. Like with all Klevgrand products, a lot of time has been spent on creating a workflow experience that is both simple and inspiring.

Included Piano Models:

  • Skyline – A clean, responsive electric piano that you can really dig into and get a powerful response. Perfectly tuned and finely adjusted.
  • Gotown – An alternative to the Skyline model, but this has a slightly grittier take.
  • Precious – Like Gotown, but with a softer, gentler tone and response.
  • Silky Way – Like Skyline but with less bite. Pairs perfectly with both phaser and chorus for those smooth ballads.
  • Whirl – Loads of bark, loads of funk.
  • Unicorny – A true “barn find” – as if you’ve discovered an old electric piano in the attic of a long-lost
  • A little worn, a little rough around the edges, but with a heart of gold.
  • Picky – Bright and percussive with a short release. Not overly polished, but perfect for nostalgic little melodies and that Indie-pop, lo-fi vibe.
  • Arbor – Slightly harp-like with a very short release. Doesn’t really sound like a piano – or maybe like a heavily modified one. An instrument that’s fun to play, especially with lots of delay and reverb.
  • Digilog FM – FM piano, evoking both 80’s hits and early video games
  • Unsound – Broken pickups and faulty electronics – “Need Service ” – The tines are a bit crazy too. There’s a whole lot of rock ’n’ roll in this one.

Included in Elpiano:

  • 10 different piano models
  • 5 different cabinets, with mono- and stereo-configuration.
  • 50 presets
  • Plenty of effects with smart functions (Reverb, Room, Delay, Chorus, Phaser, Tremolo, Vibrato)
  • Traditional vintage EQ
  • Drive control

Klevgrand Elpiano is available starting today via the Klevgrand website. Regularly priced at $149.99, Elpiano is available at an introductory price of $99.99 through the end of April 2025.

WoodSynth 4.0 Updated With New Tube Oscillators & More

Woodman’s Immaculate Maple Syrup Studio let us know that they’ve released WoodSynth 4.0, a major update to their software synthesizer for macOS & iOS.

What’s new in WoodSynth 4.0:

  • New Tube Oscillator type
    • They say this works completely different than the digital oscillators and gives a very “analog” sound.
    • Drive, bias and tube type parameters let you smoothly change harmonics and waveform from sine wave to square wave.
    • Optional integrator circuit after the oscillator can generate sawtooth waveforms.
    • The drive control can be modulated by the oscillator’s LFO, by the Aux ADSR or by MIDI input (pressure, aftertouch, mod wheel and CC74).
    • Tolerance control which influences individual note detuning.
  • New convolution reverb
    • Reverb Send can be modulated by the general LFO’s and by keyboard pressure/aftertouch.
    • Reverb parameters now have their own UI panel.
    • Reverb now has its own HPF, LPF and Saturation.
  • Added Samples per note: allows sampled instruments like drums, piano, etc.
    • Notes without a sample have several modes to generate sound from an existing sample.
  • Added new Preset Browser.
  • Added SetList : a small list of presets with midi PC values starting from 0 and up.
  • Added manual triggering of the sequencer (live playing, see section 6.1.9 …).
  • Sequencer can now show the note values in stead of only semitone values.
  • ML (midi learn) now indicates when a midi CC is already used.
  • Added 10+ presets.

WoodSynth 4.0 is available now for $15.99 for iOS and $79.99 for macOS.
