Peter Baumann’s Romance ’76 Gets Limited Edition 50th Anniversary Reissue

Label Bureau B has announced a 50th anniversary vinyl release of Peter Baumann‘s Romance ’76.

The limited-edition reissue of Romance ’76 is hand numbered, limited to 500 copies worldwide and features transparent yellow vinyl.

Peter Baumann is best known for his work with seminal electronic music group Tangerine Dream, but he’s also had an active solo career and founded the instrumental music label Private Music.

From 1971 to 1977, Peter Baumann was a member of pioneering Berlin School group Tangerine Dream. Elements of the ’70s Tangerine Dream sound can be heard on tracks from the album, like Bicentenial Presentation:

“Romance 76 resulted from the urge to create new music,” notes Baumann. “I felt we had begun repeating ourselves in Tangerine Dream and I was keen to discover new things, to carry on experimenting.”
