Behringer has announced the Perfect Pitch PP1, a new Eurorack module that converts microphone, guitar, or line-level sources to MIDI, CV, and USB signals.
The module also features a line out so you can run external signals through your modular system.
Features:
8HP size
Versatile I/O converts guitar, microphone, or line-level sources to MIDI, USB, or CV
Signal conversion allows for use with synthesizers, plug-ins, and other DAW control by near-instantly tracking pitch from mono sources
Pitch, gate, and trigger values are extracted for use with CV-compatible gear
Hi-Z and Low Cut functions allow you to match your incoming instrument signals
50dB of gain available to keep things consistent without compromising output possibilities
USB MIDI allows for deep DAW integration from any instrumental source
AJH Synth has announced the MiniMod Keyz – a Minimoog-inspired Eurorack keyboard synthesizer.
The MiniMod Keyz brings together a collection of modules that are essentially Euro-format clones of circuits from the original RA Moog version of the MiniMoog, and then adds a Ring SM, Tap Tempo VC-LFO, and their new Low Fat HP Filter.
The modules are build into a custom version of the ‘Epic AF’ NiftyKEYZ Euro keyboard case, fitted with custom Dark American Walnut end cheeks for a more vintage look.
Because the system is fully modular, it has a sonic range that goes far beyond the original Minimoog design.
The Ring SM is a 5-channel Moog CP3 mixer, EMS Synthi/VCS3 based Ring Modulator, and a very rich-sounding, simultaneous 2 octave sub-bass generator. User Guide:
The Tap Tempo VC-LFO is a very complex modulation source, with 16 common and unusual wave shapes, including stepped and sloped random voltages. Every element can be voltage-controlled, and can be clocked by external modules/sequencers, or act as a master clock, clock divider/multiplier. User Guide:
The Low Fat is a voltage-controlled 2hp high pass filter, and a great compliment to the classic, huge-sounding Transistor Ladder Filter. The Fattest filter in town needs to slim down sometimes! User Guide:
The NiftyKeyz is a 4-octave keyboard controller, with a large host of features, including arpeggiator, 4-voice polyphonic control, built-in LFO, and more.
Korg celebrates Star Wars Day by bringing back the ARP 2600 FS synth – AKA the voice of R2-D2.
The Korg ARP 2600 FS – their high-end reissue of the full-size version it’s ’70s classic, which sold out as soon as it was announced – is available again, in limited quantities.
Korg has listed a limited number of brand-new ARP 2600 FS synths in the Korg USA Reverb Direct Shop for $4,499.99.
Korg introduced the ARP 2600 FS at the 2020 NAMM Show
ARP 2600 synth also does have a connection to the Star Wars universe, as this was the instrument that was used to create the distinctive voice of R2-D2. Korg shone a light on this fact a few years ago when it created a video that showed you how to create an approximation of the patch that sound designer Ben Burtt created in order to make the peppy little droid speak.
This limited-edition release is a loving reproduction of the 2600, handcrafted in Japan and includes USB and DIN-style MIDI connections, XLR audio outputs, plus the improved ARP 3620 Duophonic Keyboard with an added arpeggiator / sequencer. Your new ARP 2600 will arrive in a custom-branded hard shell case, complete with casters.
