Luftrum 27, New Patchbank for Arturia MatrixBrute Analog Synthesizer

Sound developer Luftrum has introduced Luftrum 27, a new sound library for the Arturia MatrixBrute that features 80 presets.

“This set provides a well-rounded mix of timeless analog emulations, as well as esoteric explorations,” they say. “Inspiration was drawn from synth legends such as Kraftwerk, Giorgio Moroder, Vince Clarke, Klaus Schulze, Royksopp, Le Matos, Sinioia Caves and Disasterpeace.”

The MatrixBrute is Arturia’s take on the flagship monosynth. With 3 VCOs, two analog filters, a massive modulation matrix, analog effects, and a 64-step sequencer, it provides a wealth of sonic potential.

The patches in the set are volume balanced, with assignments for all four macro controls, plus modwheel, velocity and aftertouch.

*Note: The set requires firmware version 2.0.3 for the Arturia MatrixBrute, which is available through Arturia website.

Luftrum 27 is available now for $35.

Strange Attractor is a Chaotic Oscillator and Fractal Texture Generator Max For Live device

Sounds At Dusk has introduced Strange Attractor, a chaotic oscillator and fractal texture generator Max For Live device for Ableton Suite.

What they say about it:

“Create pulsating tones, slowly changing rhythms, drones and rich noises. Use as a standalone oscillator or as an audio effect.

Essentially a feedback system, but one that includes nonlinear elements so that complex and unpredictable sounds emerge dependent on the system’s history. Seed oscillations with the input and steer the system with subtle changes of parameters.”

Strange Attractor was originally released in 2012 as an iPad application. Strange Attractor is available now for $10

Be Good Audio introduces Time Razor, a Dual Delay with Integrated Effects & Modulation

Be Good Audio, a new audio software company based in Denmark, has introduced Time Razor, a dual delay, with integrated effects and modulation.

Features:

  • 4 different delay modes: Single, Ping Pong, Dual Serial, and Dual Parallel
  • 2 different controllable time transition modes: Repitch and Fade
  • Control the level of the delay lines in Parallel or Serial delay mode
  • Option to add Chorus, Phaser, Bit Crusher, and Reverb to the feedback path (with both dry/wet audio options)?
  • 1 multi-mode filter in the feedback path (with both dry/wet audio options) for further enhancing the sonic character
  • Processing in stereo with independent left/right repeat time and feedback for each delay line
  • Possibility to sync delay times to the host tempo
  • Stereo tools to control spatial width
  • Processing in M/S stereo mode
  • Shape the delay lines with lowpass, highpass filters in the feedback path. In Parallel mode, each delay line has separate filters, while in Dual Serial mode, both delay lines share the same filters.
  • Ducking for the delay lines with separate ducking settings in Parallel mode
  • Envelope follower for dynamic modulation with multiple dual destinations (select between 32 targets)
  • 2 LFOs with multiple dual destinations and the possibility to sync LFO rates to the host tempo (select between 32 targets)
  • Modulation sources can modulate each other
  • Comes loaded with 140 presets for quickly adding magic to your sound. Easily edit and save presets. More free presets will be added in future updates.
  • Control audio input and output, changing the sonic harmonics
  • Clear Audio button (top-right “Time Razor” text in the UI) for working with massive feedback
  • Integrated help-text displayed when hovering over UI elements with the mouse

Audio demos are available at the Be Good Audio website.

Time Razor is available now for Windows, with an intro price of €39 (normally €79). A Mac version is ‘coming soon’.  A demo version is also available.
