Frequency Central Florian Synthesizer Sneak Preview
Frequency Central shared this preview of Florian, a new synthesizer that they describe as what you’d get “if a Roland SH-2 had a modular baby with an ARP Odyssey, but the midwife was a mad English scientist…”
The name is a tribute to Kraftwerk co-founder Florian Schneider-Esleben.
- 2 x XVCO, a discrete VCO based on the Roland 100M design
- Sub oscillator -1 octave square, -2 octave square, and -2 octave pulse
- Digital ring modulator, taking VCO1 and VCO2 as it’s X and Y input.
- Voltage controlled filter offering lowpass, bandpass, and highpass responses, based on Roland 700 multimode filter
- ADSR based around AS3310 chip, offering normal and inverted outputs as well as CV of level
- ARP influenced VCA with ADSR/gate/drone options
- ARP influenced A/R generator with looping option
- LFO1: triangle
- LFO2: saw/triangle/ramp with sync option
Details are to come at the Frequency Central site.
