Arturia PolyBrute Noir Edition is ‘Straight From The Abyss’
The PolyBrute Noir is a black version of Arturia’s acclaimed analogue polysynth.
Arturia today introduced the PolyBrute Noir, a style variation that features a new ‘Noir’ finish, sleek redesigned knobs, and ionized parts, resulting in what they call “deeper, darker aesthetic, straight from the abyss”.
The PolyBrute is a fitting flagship for Arturia’s analogue synth range, offering a beautifully characterful sound and lots of well-designed features. Introduced in 2020, the instrument is now being given a reboot with the launch of a limited-edition Noir version.
This differs from the standard model by offering “a slick black exterior, complete with colourful accents, luxurious dark wooden appointments, and signature ionised parts”. Beyond the finish, the PolyBrute Noir is functionally the same as the original PolyBrute.
Like the original PolyBrute, the Noir version is a modern analog flagship synth, featuring 6 analog voices, based on Arturia’s ‘Brute’ oscillators and dual filters. The synth features two Brute oscillators per voice, feeding into dual filters, a Steiner filter and a Moog-style filter. The filters can be patched in series, in parallel, or as a mix of both. The keyboard is velocity-sensitive with aftertouch, and there’s a ribbon controller.
Other features include a modulation matrix, three digital stereo effect engines and sequencing options.
The PolyBrute Noir is available now, price at $3110.
