Grizzly, New Gristleizer Plugin For macOS + Windows
AOFN Audio’s Grizzly is a stereo modulation effect, based on the 1979 Gristleizer circuit, published by David Simpson in Electronics & Music Maker.
It uses an internal LFO with triangle, square, rising saw, and falling saw waveforms to drive a modeled JFET stage in either VCA mode, which modulates the input amplitude, or VCF mode, which modulates a low-pass filter.
The plugin includes adjustable modulation speed, depth, shape, offset, bias, drive, and stereo spread, with free-running or host-synchronized operation.
