Joranalogue Delay 1 Split-Phase Bucket Brigade Delay Line is Now Available

Module-makers Joranalogue Audio Design has announced that their Delay 1 split-phase bucket brigade delay module – originally introduced at Superbooth 2022, is now available worldwide.

Delay 1 is a fully analogue BBD-based Eurorack delay module with a multitude of features. An integrated temperature-compensated, high-frequency voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) provides the ‘clock’ signal necessary to drive the delay line within 1 to 50 ms. By increasing the drive frequency to over 20 kHz, the classic ‘BBD clock whine’ problem is eliminated, while still providing a wide range in delay time. Classic chorus, flanger and echo effects are easily achieved using the dry/wet blend, feedback and damping parameters.

Delay 1 also enables you to experiment with Karplus-Strong synthesis, a synthesis technique that can be used to create string and percussion type sounds. This is made easy by an integrated noise transient generator, driven by the ‘pluck’ input, and by the clock VCO’s 1 volt per octave response.

Features:

  • Analogue bucket brigade delay line.
  • Integrated temperature-stable high-frequency BBD clock VCO with fine and coarse tuning.
  • Split-phase topology with additive and subtractive dry/wet blend outputs.
  • Blend, feedback and damping (feedback filter) parameters. Positive or negative feedback with low or high pass filtering.
  • High-performance BBD drive circuitry and transparent compander chain ensure optimal signal fidelity.
  • Dedicated pluck trigger input for Karplus-Strong synthesis.
  • High-frequency BBD clock input and output to synchronise multiple delay lines.
  • Impedance-compensated outputs with dual-colour LEDs.
  • Trim potentiometer accessible from the front panel.
  • Premium mounting hardware: black screws, black nylon washers and matching hex key.
  • High-quality components and assembly.

Moog Music has announced that all eight of it’s Moogerfooger effects plug-ins are now available for iPhone and iPad.

Released as desktop plug-ins last fall, the effects are now available for iOS, including:

  • MF-101S Lowpass Filter
  • MF-102S Ring Modulator
  • MF-103S 12-Stage Phaser
  • MF-104S Analog Delay
  • MF-105S MuRF
  • MF-107S FreqBox
  • MF-108S Cluster Flux
  • MF-109S Saturator

Features:

  • Classic Moog Sound: These effects are designed to recreate the sound the original Moogerfooger hardware units.
  • Wide Range of Effects: Users can explore a comprehensive collection of effects, including classic analog delay, modulation, filtering, distortion, and more.
  • Intuitive Interface: The iOS versions of these tools feature a user-friendly interface, designed for effortless control and manipulation of parameters, enabling users to sculpt their sound with precision. Each effect is fully optimized to work across any iPhone or iPad using the latest operating software.
  • Preset Library: A vast library of presets covering a wide range of musical styles and genres provides a starting point for users to dive right into musical creation—or transform stock presets into something completely unique.
  • CV Interconnectivity: Moogerfooger Effects for iOS recreate the deep CV interconnectivity capabilities of the original hardware pedals, so that each instance of a Moogerfooger can modulate the parameters of any other across a user’s project.
  • Integrations & Compatibility: These effects seamlessly integrate with other iOS music apps in AUv3 format, allowing users to incorporate any iOS Moogerfooger into their existing workflow.

Moogerfooger Effects Plug-ins for iOS are available now to purchase and download in the App Store. For a limited time, each app is just $9.99—or as a bundle of all eight effects for $39.99.

Polyverse introduces Filtron, Free Filter Effect

Polyverse has introduced Filtron, a 12dB state variable filter that can smoothly transition between lowpass, bandpass, and highpass. It is capable of self-oscillation, with resonance levels that can “reach up to 11”.

Filtron also features an internal saturation algorithm and post-overdrive, with two modes to choose from: cold and hot.

Filtron’s parameters can be modulated via sidechain by CV generators such as Polyverse’s Gatekeeper. Each channel in a stereo pair is treated as a separate modulation source and can be split into stereo. Filtron is also optimized for audio rate modulation.

Filtron is available in VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX formats, making it compatible with a variety of host applications including Ableton Live, Logic, Pro Tools, Cubase, Reason, and Studio One. It can be used in 64-bit instances with Windows 7 and up, as well as Mac OS X 10.13 and up (intel and apple silicon).
