Teenage Engineering Intros Line I/O Module For OP-Z Synthesizer
Teenage Engineering reveals a new hardware expansion module for the OP-Z synthesizer, Line, which might add the I/O that you have been wishing for.
You can use line in to add external audio signals to your mix and use line out as a second stereo output available within OP–Z.
You can route individual tracks to the module output instead of to the main mix to separate and process the individual tracks, or make effect loops with your favorite effect pedals. Depending on your needs, you can switch between mono and stereo signals.
The output can also be used for headphone cueing of your tracks before bringing them out to the main mix. There’s also MIDI, Trig and PO sync I/O.
The Line module join the previously released Rumble haptic subwoofer and Oplab CV add-on in the OP-Z accessories range.
The OP-Z has a built-in microphone, but the addition of a line-in means that you can add external audio signals to your mix and make more use of its sampling functionality.
You can route individual tracks to the module output instead of to the main mix to separate and process the individual tracks, or make effect loops with your favorite effect pedals. Depending on your needs, you can switch between mono and stereo signals.
The extra output can also be used for headphone cueing, which could be useful if you want to perform a live set on your OP-Z.
