Synthesis Technology Cloud Terrarium & Quad Morphing VCO In VCV Rack

Synthesist and VCV Rack guru Omri Cohen shared this overview of the Synthesis Technology Cloud Terrarium & Quad Morphing VCO modules in VCV Rack.

The two modules are some of the most powerful VCOs available in Eurorack. Unfortunately, they went out of production a few years ago, and Synthesis Technology ceased trading with the death of founder Paul Schreiber, earlier this year.

The Cloud Terrarium features cloud oscillator features of the SynthTech’s earlier E340 Cloud Generator, plus wavetable features of their E350 Morphing Terrarium oscillator.

The Quad Morphing VCO builds on this, offering four independent morphing VCOs.

Both modules are available now in VCV Rack as a bundle for $30.

The video, via Autodafe, demonstrates how to build a DIY module to host VCV Rack, the virtual Eurorack modular synth, inside a hardware Eurorack module.

It’s modular ‘Synthception‘ all over again.

The DIY Eurorack module loads Cardinal, a self-contained, open-source fork of VCV Rack.
