Ahead of Superbooth 2026, SynTesla has introduced the MegaHertz 5U modular synthesizer, a Moog format system from the makers of Hans Zimmer’s monster synth.The MegaHertz is the first commercial 5U modular synthesizer system from SynTesla, developed as part of the broader Hz series inspired by the company’s high-end custom instrument work.

It is a two-voice analog system, built in a 5U format and housed in a handcrafted wooden cabinet. The instrument integrates a set of 5U modules, designed for both traditional subtractive synthesis and more complex modulation and wave-shaping approaches.

Its architecture combines dual oscillators, wavefolding, multiple filter types, extensive envelope generation, LFO-based modulation, and a large utility section for signal routing and control.
