New MathSynth iOS App Combines Mathematics, Synthesis + Sound Design

MathSynth is an iOS application that turns mathematical equations into waveforms and playable musical instruments, combining synthesis, sound design, sharing and interactive lessons.
MathSynth is a new iOS app and platform, designed for exploring the relationship between mathematics, music and sound design.
Users can write mathematical equations and generate waveforms from them in real time, then turn those equations into playable instruments using an integrated MIDI synthesizer.
The application provides virtually unlimited polyphony, tools for saving and sharing creations, a community library of user-created sounds, and interactive lessons and quizzes covering mathematical concepts.
MathSynth is currently available as a beta on iOS through Apple TestFlight.
Features:
- Converts mathematical equations into expressive waveforms
- Generates sounds from equations in real time
- Turns mathematical equations into playable musical instruments
- Integrated MIDI synthesizer for playing mathematical instruments
- Virtually unlimited polyphony
- Allows users to sculpt sounds generated from mathematical equations
- Saves user-created sounds
- Allows users to share mathematical instruments and ideas
- Provides a community library for discovering and downloading user-created sounds
