Five12 Releases New Firmware for Vector & QV-L

Five 12 has announced new firmware updates for their Vector sequencer (both mkI and mkII) and QV-L Quad LFO for Eurorack.
Here’s what’s new:
- Vector MkI: The latest 4.0 build for the Mk1 is BETA2. This build includes a MIDI Map feature that allows you to control Vector params using MIDI CC messages. By request, it also includes the “transpose link” feature added to the MkII earlier this year.
- Vector MkII: The latest 4.0 build for the MkII is BETA9. It includes full support for the MkI Jack Expander.
- QV-L: The latest 2.0 build is BETA3, which includes further refinements to the updated UI. The 2.0 firmware for the QV-L introduces a simpler, faster screen layout, a pref to run the whole module ‘upside-down’, log-taper envelopes, and ADSR envelopes.
All firmware releases can be found on the Five12 Support page.
They also shared a series of videos that demonstrate the new QV-L firmware:
There is a preview of the new features in the 2.0 firmware, a detailed walkthrough of a generative patch, and an improvised performance using that generative patch. The addition of log-taper envelopes and a revised UI make the envelopes much more useful for this sort of patching.
They also shared that their Five12 Discord is rapidly growing, so owners should check it out. And they encourage you to check out the latest Bob Moog Foundation raffle, which features a $24,000 Eurorack system, which includes a black panel Vector and Expander.
Finally, they shared that they have a new batch of Jack Expander MkII modules available in their online store, as well as some new QV-Ls, all available in silver or black panels. Most modules are now also on sale for a limited time.
