Audio Blast intros ABx-3, the ‘New Generation Of Acid Sound Design’
Audio Blast shared this preview of ABx-3, a new 303-style virtual instrument that they describe as “the new generation of acid sound design”.
ABx-3 is available now for Linux, Mac & Windows.
While ABx-3 is inspired by the classic Roland TB-303 baseline synthesizer, its capabilities go way beyond the original, adding parameter sequencing, 32 oscillator shapes, 8 distortion units, effects and more.

Features:
- Live Creation and Recording: Create and record note and parameter sequences on the fly.
- 606 Presets.
- 32 Independent patterns: which allows you to embed 32 different presets with independent parameters modulations (crazy)
- 32 Oscillator shapes
- 8 Distortion Units: Overdrive, Clip Inferno, Hot Valve, Ultracrunch, Turbo Fuzz, RageClip, Brutal Bill and the new Bit Crusher for added grit.
- 3 FX Slots with 7 Effects Available: Reverb, EchoVerb, SynthVerb, Stereo Chorus, Mono Chorus, 4Band-Fuzz and Flanger
- Patch Randomizer: Assignable random button and real-time randomization of accents, slides, notes, octaves, steps, Scale and more.
- 5 Enhanced UI: Resizable (4 sizes: 75%, 100%, 150%, 200%) with 5 distinctive GUIs for a modern and personalized look.
Audio Blast ABx-3 is available now with an intro price of €89 (normally €179).

ABX3 feels like a modular acid synth disguised as a VST
It invites deep tweaking — from glide times to oscillator gain structure.
I paired it with RG3’s oldskool sample pack and built a full hardcore banger in an hour.
Works flawlessly in both Logic and Ableton on M1.
Best part? It’s actually fun to use, not just functional
