Antares introduces AI-Powered Vocal Reverb

Antares Audio Technologies has introduced Vocal Reverb, a new audio plugin, for Mac + Windows, that uses artificial intelligence to “speed up the process of creating a great sounding reverb.”The plugin’s Auto-EQ technology uses Auto-Tune pitch tracking to clean up the reverb tail, tracking the singer’s pitch and dynamically reducing the fundamental frequency range in the reverb tail. Antares says that this results in a reverb that musically blends with the vocal.Vocal Reverb offers three reverb styles and two Delay types. When the advanced panel is expanded, five Pre-Verb Effects and five Post-Verb Effects are displayed to use for more creative results.

Features:

  • AI Assist for quick reverb settings.
  • Auto-EQ powered by Auto-Tune Pitch Tracking Technology.
  • 3 reverb algorithms: Hall, Plate, Room.
  • 2 delay types: Mono, Stereo Ping Pong.
  • 5 Pre-verb effects: Pitch, Throat, Tube, De-Esser, Reverse.
  • 5 post-verb effects: Auto-EQ, Tone Shaper, Compressor, Gate, Width.
  • Apple Silicon Native M1/Pro/Max/Ultra compatibility.

2024 Bob Moog Calendar Celebrates Synth Pioneer’s 90th Birthday

The Bob Moog Foundation has announced a new 2024 calendar, Bob Moog, His Life and Work, commemorating the synth pioneer’s 90th birthday.

The calendar traces his first 50 years through professional and personal photos, letters, and other historical documentation drawn from both the Bob Moog Foundation Archives and the private collection of the Moog Family Archives.

Beginning when Moog was just 10 years old, the calendar brings to light his academic ambitions, personal interests and relationships, his entrepreneurial spirit from a young age, and his growing family during an intense time of expansion for his original business, R.A. Moog Company, as well as his financial, personal, and professional challenges.

“This calendar gives us the opportunity to share Bob Moog on a more personal level,” notes Michelle Moog-Koussa, Executive Director of the Bob Moog Foundation. “Through a broad array of beautiful vintage photos, insightful personal correspondence, and more, Bob is conveyed as a complex and nuanced human being, in sharp contrast to his iconic status as the inventor of the Moog synthesizer. Our hope is that people come away with a greater sense of him as a creative, driven, entrepreneurial spirit whose life was full of unexpected twists and turns.”

The calendar is available for pre-order for $22. All proceeds benefit the educational and archive preservation efforts of the Bob Moog Foundation.

Bob Moog’s biography, Switched On: Bob Moog and the Synthesizer Revolution, is also available.

Synthesizers.com Q190 Triple Tuner for Moog Format Synthesizers

Synthesizers.com has introduced the Q190 Triple Tuner, a single-space Moog format module that’s designed to make it easy to keep up to 3 oscillators in tune.

What they say about it:

“The Q190 tuner module allows you to keep a watchful eye on the frequencies up to 3 oscillators are producing. Frequencies from all analog oscillators will drift slightly as a result of normal changes in internal cabinet temperature.

Now it’s easier than ever to ensure your oscillators are doing exactly what you want them to do. Whether you are onstage or in the studio the Q190 is a must have for those patches that need precision from an oscillator or oscillator bank.”

A switch jack option is available to support normalized patching to your oscillators.
The Synthesizers.com Q190 Triple Tuner is available now for $300.
