Hit N Mix, the developer behind RipX. RipX is branching out from its audio separation roots DeepRemix with the release of DeepCreate, a new tool that is designed to be used to generate original musical ideas from scratch.
DeepCreate enable you to record or import anything into DeepCreate – audio, MIDI/MPE data or samples – and then treat all of your ‘layers’ of content in the same way.
The processing options are extensive. You can change your layers’ sounds (it’s even possible to ‘rip’ your favourite VST synth presets), perform or draw in automation and add effects.
Layers can also be re-performed, re-sequenced and blended together, and all on a note-by-note basis.

Air | Music Edition is a free plugin that promises to gives your music more depth and space. It is designed to add distance and depth to anything you apply it to, and can be controlled with just a single knob.
As well as being able to tweak the main Distance control, you can also adjust the amount of additional attenuation you’d get with different distances by controlling the variation of the audio gain.
Sound Particles claims that Air goes beyond the powers of a low-pass filter with its use of scientifically measured frequency response values of air dampening. A graph shows you the frequency response that’s being applied.

Sam Smith, Kim Petras – Unholy is one of the more unusual pop hits of 2022. The song has hit number one in both the US and the UK, plus multiple other countries around the world.
Now the creators at online DAW Soundation have broken the track down and rebuilt it. Additionally, they’ve created a sample pack that includes remakes of Unholy’s hyperpop percussion and bass sounds, and had a go at recreating the Gregorian choir sound that’s one of the song’s hallmarks.
There’s also some discussion around Unholy’s unusual music theory: it’s in C# but switches between Phrygian and Phrygian dominant scales. These are commonly used in Gregorian chants and Middle Eastern music respectively, and help to create Unholy’s dark, slightly foreboding sound.
