Soundtoys is Donating 100% of Sales to Support Vermont Flood Relief August 2-3

Vermont-based Soundtoys has created a two-day “giving event” to aid victims of catastrophic flooding in their home state. Every dollar of Soundtoys purchases and upgrades on August 2 and 3 will be donated to local nonprofit organizations to provide immediate relief for Vermonters affected by widespread catastrophic rainfall and floods.

Extreme weather events in July 2023 have put entire towns under water, forced residents to evacuate from their homes, washed out roads and bridges, destroyed crops, and threatened dams.

Proceeds from sales made on August 2 will be directed to the Vermont Community Foundation’s Flood Response & Recovery Fund to help to cover immediate support as Vermont moves through this crisis. The Community Foundation is committed to getting money out the door and into the hands of those who need it most during this crisis stage as well as assistance for long-term recovery efforts to build back homes, infrastructure, and communities. Read more about how Vermont Community Foundation is making an impact.

Proceeds from sales made on August 3 will be directed to Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont (NOFA-VT). Farmers are imperative to the local food system, economy, and environment, and they do not always qualify for insurance coverage, or for federal and private assistance programs. NOFA-VT’s Farmer Emergency Fund provides farmers with the needed cash flow in times of an emergency, to help them recover and ultimately become more resilient farmers. Donations to this fund will be quickly mobilized to farms as they repair from the storm. Listen to NOFA-VT executive director Grace Oedel share how donations will support farmers and food systems.

If you don’t need anything at this time, but want to support the effort, you can get a Soundtoys gift card, or explore other ways to support Vermont flooding victims.

“We’re a small company with a passionate team and equally passionate customers, and we support causes that we believe in. Whether it’s the political climate or the weather, we are facing some incredible challenges – and this time it’s in our own backyard,” said Ken Bogdanowicz, founder and CEO of Soundtoys. “The devastation caused by the floods is widespread and heart-breakingly severe, which is why we chose to support organizations able to provide rapid response and relief to those who need it most.”

The 2-day event is part of Soundtoy’s commitment to philanthropy and activism. Over the years, the company has raised more than $720,000 for humanitarian and civil rights organizations, including support for Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders, World Central Kitchen, the Red Cross Society of Ukraine, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Migrant Offshore Aid Station (MOAS), National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Legal Defense Fund, Team Rubicon, and the Gulf Restoration Network.
