Rithmatic is a patch librarian and editor that imports Yamaha DX7 sound banks, converts them to Korg volca FM2 programs, and sends them directly to the hardware.
Rithmatic is a free application for Mac, iPhone, iPad and Android that’s designed to make it ease to create and manage FM patches for the Korg volca FM2.
It can import individual DX7 voices, 32-voice bulk banks, .syx and .sys files, and ZIP archives, converting the sounds into native FM2 programs. Patches can be searched, tagged, favorited and organized into collections, while programs can be sent to the FM2’s edit buffer or stored in its 64 memory slots.
Rithmatic also includes a six-operator FM editor with a node-based routing canvas and a built-in FM engine for auditioning patches without the hardware. The application communicates directly with the FM2 using USB-MIDI SysEx and operates without network connectivity.
