Koma Elektronik Komplex Sequencer Available Again, Adds some New Features

Koma Elektronik let us know that their Komplex Sequencer is available again, with some updated features.

The Komplex Sequencer features four full-featured 16-step sequencers, communicating via both MIDI and CV/Gate. All features have their own dedicated controls and have dedicated inputs and outputs via an 87-point patch bay. Every aspect of this sequencer is CV-able. In addition, the Komples features a seven-bank CV Recorder that can output up to 5 banks at once.

What they say about it:

“The long wait finally ends!

Due to the supply chain disruption caused by Covid-19, we had to scrape together parts from all corners of the world for nearly two years.

Finally, the last necessary chip has found its way into the box labelled “Komplex Sequencer”. We are now able to start producing a “golden sample” and organize a full production run.”

What’s new in Komplex:

  • The Transpose CV input now also transposes the MIDI notes that a sequencer is producing.
  • Some circuitry had to undergo changes to account for non-available and now obsolete chips.
  • The new Komplex run will be limited (2 batches of 25 pieces each), with higher pricing. Koma says that that all components have gotten substantially more expensive, ranging from electronic parts that are not available anymore, sliders and pushbuttons, and the enclosure and sidecheeks.

The Komplex Sequencer is available to pre-order for €1,999, with the first batch expected to ship in September 2023.
