Aphex Twin releases Blackbox Life Recorder 21f/ in a room7 F760, his first official new music in 5 years
Fans were alerted to the possibility of imminent new music at last week’s Sonar 2023 in Barcelona, when typically oblique Twitter posts asked frenzied treasure hunters to “LOOK OUT FOR SOMETHING SPECIAL”.
Today, Warp Records has announced a new EP by Aphex Twin (Richard D. James), Blackbox Life Recorder 21f / in a room7 F760, scheduled to be released July 28, 2023.
The EP features four tracks:

In addition, Aphex Twin has released a video for Blackbox Life Recorder 21f, embedded above, featuring video art by Art by Weirdcore.
Aphex Twin is on tour in Europe this Summer and will perform at London’s Field Day festival on 19 August.
