Majella Audio Introduces Compax Semi-Modular West Coast Synth

At Superbooth 2026, Majella Audio is introducing the Compax semi-modular West Coast synthesizer.

The Majella Compax is a compact, semi-modular desktop synthesizer incorporating core West Coast synthesis elements, derived from its larger sibling, the Implexus.

Features:

  • Patchable semi-modular architecture
  • Complex oscillator with a continuously variable waveform
  • Wavefolder section provides West Coast-style harmonic shaping
  • Modulation control includes LFO, dual envelope generators, and a sequencer
  • The Compax includes an LFO with five waveform options and external clock sync capability.
  • 20 patch points

*Note: Official specifications are still to be announced.

Details on pricing and availability for the Compax are still to come at the Majella Audio site.

KOMA Monoplex Melodic Microtonal Sequencer Debuts At Superbooth 2026

At  Superbooth 2026, KOMA Elektronik introduced Monoplex, a performance-driven Eurorack sequencer that they say is “built for evolving melodic control”.

The Monoplex is inspired by KOMA’s larger Komplex Sequencer, but distills its hands-on philosophy into a focused, single-channel design.

Every core parameter can be voltage-controlled, opening the door to endlessly shifting yet fully deterministic sequences. At its heart is an expanded quantizer. Beyond chromatic, major, and minor modes, Monoplex allows you to upload your own scales via MIDI SysEx using a browser-based tool. You can choose from thousands of microtonal scales or create and audition your own.

A dedicated MIDI-note capture mode also lets incoming notes define the active scale on the fly.

Compact and immediate, Monoplex delivers an endless supply of melodies and modulations inside your Eurorack system. Here are the details:

Features:

CV-able Options

  • First Step (Sequence Start Point)
  • Sequence Length
  • Skip Step – Multiple Modes
  • Gate Length
  • Repeat Step – Simple or Ratcheting
  • Glide
  • Play Mode – Multiple Modes
  • Transpose
  • Divisions

Sequencer Features

  • CV Out
  • Gate Out
  • Trigger Out
  • MIDI Out
  • Output Range 2V, 5V, 10V
  • Unipolar / Bipolar CV-Output
  • One-Shot Mode
  • Swing
  • User Interface Color Changes

Quantizer / User Scales

  • Wilson MTS-ESP scale system
  • 3 user-definable scales, on-the-fly editing
  • Live scale upload via web interface (beta) directly via browser on PC, laptop and mobile, via SysEx
  • Live scale input via MIDI, e.g an attached keyboard
  • Live scale input via slider method on the sequencer itself
  • MIDI implementation via Note On + Pitch Bend information for MIDI synthesizers

Sync

  • Clock Input
  • Clock / Division Output
  • Start Trigger Input & Output
  • End Trigger
  • Reset / Pause Trigger Input
  • MIDI In
  • MIDI Sync Master / Slave
  • MIDI Sync Start / Stop

The KOMA Monoplex is available to pre-order now, priced at 498,00 €. Shipping is expected to start in June of 2026.

New Polyphonic Granular Sampler, Zerua Nahasi, For Eurorack Modular Systems

SBRK Devices has introduced the Zerua Nahasi, a new polyphonic granular sampler.

You can record samples into it, process live audio, or load files from an SD card. It has four stereo granular engines that can be used independently or in combination, plus a built-in convolution reverb that lets you load your own impulse responses.

Features:

  • 4 stereo granular engines – each slot can hold over 20 seconds of audio.
  • The 4 engines can be synchronized and combined in multiple ways.
  • Main granulation parameters with CV control and randomization: grain position, grain length, density,
  • Pitch/speed, envelope shape, stereo image.
  • Multiple granulation modes: varispeed, stretching, and more to come.
  • Onset/transient detection.
  • Granulation sources: stereo input audio (live or pre-recorded), or samples from SD card.
  • Integrated convolution reverb. IRs can be loaded from SD card.

Zerua Nahasi is expected to be available in autumn 2026, with details on pricing to be announced.
