Synthesist Dor Heled shared this ‘Switched On’ style live performance of Bach’s The Well Tempered Clavier Book 1 – Prelude and Fugue in C minor.
While the arrangement is inspired by Wendy Carlos, it is one that can be played live on a single Dave Smith Prophet Rev2 synthesizer.
NorthEast Electro-Music Festival (NEEMFest), an international electronic music festival, will be held Sept 9-11, 2022 in Homer, New York.
NEEMFest is a weekend-long gathering of electronic musicians from all over the world. The event features solo performances, collaborations, workshops, and a “synth petting zoo”. The goal of the event is to promote interchange, inspiration, and education among experimental-music artists, along with cultivating new audiences for new music via public performance and educational events.
NEEM has been in existence for more than 15 years. Originally held in the Philadelphia area, and later in the New York-New Jersey-Pennsylvania tri-state area, NEEM moved to the Center for the Arts of Homer in 2017.

Synthesist Dave Mech, in his latest video, shares his first impressions of the new Erica Synths Perkons HD-01 Drum Machine and then shares some extended examples of it in action.
“Here’s my first video with the brand new Erica Synths Perkons,” notes Dave Mech. “Have been waiting almost two years for this to be released. Received it last week, so haven’t had much time with it yet, but I wanted to share some sound demos with you.”
The drum machine features four sonically versatile hybrid voices (digital sound engine + analog multimode filter with overdrive) and a sequencer with simultaneous control over all four percussion tracks.
