Acadie Automatic Chord Machine For Eurorack, Inspired By Omnichord OM27

Dawned Instruments let us know about Acadie Automatic Chord Machine, an Omnichord-inspired module for Eurorack modular systems.

Acadie is based on the Omnichord OM27, and features a sequencer, arpeggiator and polyphonic synthesizer. It can be used standalone, or integrated into a Eurorack system.

Features:

  • 12 touch sensors
  • Major and minor chords
  • Many chord variations: 7th, min7, maj7, dim, aug, add9, sus2, sus4
  • Three buttons for custom chords (up to 4 notes selectable) that can be stored in memory and recalled
  • Replication of the OM27 analog voice circuit (for both the chord tone and the harp tone) with stereo headphones out, and sustain control for the harp tone
  • The analog voices can be shifted up and down octaves, and the bass tone can be switched on/off
  • Both the chord and the harp tone can be kept in “hold” for infinite sustain
  • Two MIDI output ports (type A), fully customizable (for voices and channels)
  • Chord step sequencer (with rest and tie functions), with Tap tempo button
  • Two independent arpeggiators, one for the chord section and one for the harp section. Both are syncable to the chord sequencer or can run freely with their own tempo control. Both arpeggiators have many modes of operation.
  • Fully Eurorack compatible (the panel can be easily removed from the wooden enclosure and mounted+powered on a Eurorack system)
  • CV/Gate interface for the touchbar to control analog synths
  • Tempo sync input and output via 3.5mm jack
  • USB C (on the back of the unit) for both power and USB MIDI
  • The touchbar can be set in “strings” mode to be played like a guitar (6 strings), ukulele (4 strings), or 12-string guitar. –
  • The notes produced are rearranged to match the string instruments.
