The film features over 100 inventors, musicians and enthusiasts discussing their relationship with the modular synthesizer. This includes interviews with Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails), Vince Clarke (Depeche Mode, Erasure), Gary Numan, cEvin Key (Skinny Puppy), Daniel Miller (Mute Records), Chris Carter (Throbbing Gristle, Chris & Cosey), as well as modular manufacturers like Doepfer, Make Noise, and Intellijel.
