Waldorf has introduced PPG Wave 3.V 2.0, a major update to their software synth that they say “honors the famous Waldorf Microwave synthesizer, bringing back its best features.”
PPG Wave 3.V 2.0 features new factory wavetables, wavetable editing, the Mutator patch randomizer and a fully-resizable user interface.
Here’s what’s new:
PPG Wave 3.V version 2.0 is available now, with an intro price of € 99 through 9/14/2025 (normally €149). Upgrade pricing is also available.
Erica Synths has debuted MIDI DISPATCH, a successor to their first-ever desktop unit, the MIDI THRU BOX.
MIDI DISPATCH adds a lot of useful new features, making it an easy-to-use, hands-on command center of your studio setup.
MIDI DISPATCH is, essentially, an ultra-low latency splitter from one MIDI input to eight outputs, with advanced MIDI filtering options. It allows for connecting up to eight instruments to your MIDI keyboard, sequencer and directly to your laptop via USB-C. The user can configure each output separately, allowing for high flexibility in any studio or live setting.
MIDI DISPATCH Features:
Ultra-low latency MIDI signal splitting
USB-C port for computer connection (MIDI over USB)
Per-output MIDI filtering and routing
Easy-to-use web-based configuration interface
Powered via USB-C or 12V DC input
8 independent MIDI outputs
Erica Synths’ MIDI DISPATCH is €125 and is available now via the Erica Synths website.
This week, Noise Engineering announced the opening of preorders for Mimetic Digitwolis. Mimetic Digitwolis (MD2) is the sequel to the Mimetic Digitalis, Noise Engineering’s classic Cartesian performance sequencer. MD2 builds on the concepts but updates the feature set dramatically, making it an incredible performance sequencer for Eurorack.
This upgraded second edition features individually configurable inputs and outputs, customizable quantizers for both internal and external signals, internal sequence-length and clock divisions, triggerable step randomization, an internal clock, MIDI, and a whole lot more, all on a completely revamped interface.
New features include:
Completely configurable interface: customize trigger ins, CV ins, and outputs
Sequence CV, triggers, or gate signals
Use the internal quantizer to generate sequences or quantize external CV
Edit quantizer scales manually or with a MIDI keyboard
Infinite sequencing possibilities: trigger step randomization, navigate across different dimensions, or use CV to address sequences – or some of everything!
User-requested features like new output types, internal clock divisions, easy sequence editing, and MIDI capabilities
Generate clock internally for standalone sequencing
Like the original, MD2 is a compact 10HP.
Mimetic Digitwolis (MD2) is available for preorder for $385, and will begin shipping September 18, 2025.
