Ardour 9 Now Available For Linux, Mac + Windows, Here’s What’s New


Ardour 9.0 – the latest major update to the open-source DAW – is now available for Linux, Mac and Windows.

Here’s what’s new in Ardour 9.0:

  • Pianoroll windows for MIDI editing.
  • New bottom pane in the cue sequencer for editing MIDI and audio clips.
  • Clips recording in the cue sequencer.

  • Real-time perceptual analyzer.

Ardour 9.0 is available now, as a ready-to-run program and source code.

 

Waldorf Attack Percussion Synthesizer Gets Major Update


Waldorf Music has introduced Attack 3, a major update to their percussion synthesizer, originally released back in 2001.

They say that “Attack 3 redefines what a modern percussion synthesizer can be.”


Attack 3 features an analog-style synthesis engine, with 24 individual sounds per kit, and 12 sounds playable polyphonically as pitched instruments.

Behringer ‘Boogerfooger’ BM-17 Freq Box Now Available To Pre-Order


Today, Behringer officially introduced the BM-17 Freq Box, their ‘Boogerfooger’ knockoff of the Moog MF107 Moogerfooger FreqBox pedal.

Like the original, the Behringer BM-17 Freq Box is designed to follow the pitch of incoming audio, and create basic synth sounds that can be used along, mixed with the input, and integrated with other modular gear.

  • Effects generator with voltage-controlled oscillator
  • Wide range of effects, from fuzz distortion to modular synth-style creation
  • Envelope control for expressive frequency modulation
  • Blend control for mixing between input signal and oscillator output
