The creators of CHOMPI, a new sampling keyboard that’s designed to make musique concrète style audio manipulation fast and fun, have announced a new ‘Midnight Edition‘ that offers the same functionality, but with more traditional black and gray styling.
The Midnight Edition CHOMPI features a set of custom black keycaps and black transport knob, plus a CHOMPI Keychain.
The CHOMPI Midnight Edition is available to pre-order now for $625.00, with shipping planned to start in Feb 2024.
LFO Store has introduced Visions, a new soundset for the Waldorf Blofeld synthesizer.
While the Blofeld was introduced in 2007, it’s still available and a very capable synth. Visions, created by sound designer Otto K. Schwarz, features 50 presets that they say are designed to evoke “the feeling of the future”.
Developer Momo Müller let us know that he’s introduced a dedicated patch editor and controller for the Roland SH-4d synthesizer.
He notes, “The Roland SH-4d Editor gives you direct access from the DAW to the Roland SH-4d parameters, allowing you to integrate it into the DAW project. In the PlugIn VST version you can record the controller movements and so the sound change can be saved.”
