Waves Audio has introduced Magma Springs, a spring reverb effect for Mac and Windows.
Features:
Seven spring reverb units modeled
“Tactile analog workflow”
Recreate classic Indie, Surf, Motown, Dub, Rock & Roll, Country and many more sounds
Driven by the “analog Magma tube sound”
Pre-Delay & Feedback controls for creative FX options
Waves Magma Springs features 7 effects, reflecting unique musical eras and styles:
50’s goes back to the birth of rock & roll, tapping into the sound of old Memphis Blues records.
Twang delivers the Tele-into-Vox sound. This spring reverb style is also magical for electronic music, especially on analog synths and looping arpeggios.
Motor City – This spring type has serious size and weight and epitomizes that “old-school” soul and R&B sound. (When Motor City is applied to drums, you will experience HUGE results.)
Classic is a versatile spring reverb sound, designed to make almost any element sit beautifully in the mix.
California is about maximum vibe, letting you capture the sounds of classic recordings from the 1960s and 70s. Its brighter tone makes vocals “float gorgeously above the mix”. By experimenting with the tone controls, you can also achieve more ominous performances.
Heavy – If you were to strum a Les Paul into a blown-out Fender cabinet in a large hangar, that would approximate the sound of Heavy. This spring delivers a wonderfully thick cloud above any element.
Dark Space – Based on a well-loved hardware unit, this spring reverb type is “the essential sound of Dub”.

Be Good Audio has released a major update for their software audio effect plugin, Time Razor, adding macOS support, new MIDI features and more.
Time Razor is a dual delay effect, with integrated effects and modulation.
New in Time Razor v1.1:
Support for Mac. Both Windows 10+ 64 bit and Mac 10.13+ Intel/Silicon CPU are now supported. Plugin formats available are VST3 (win/mac) and Audio Unit (mac).
Time Razor can now receive MIDI input (note on/off). It introduces two new MIDI-triggered envelopes (ADSR) that can be used to modulate 32 targets. LFO’s can also be re-triggered by MIDI input. Note that retrigger LFO and use of MIDI triggered envelopes require DAW to support sending MIDI to FX).
60 new presets (total presets now reach 200), including presets that utilize MIDI input.
2 new magic dice features that will speed up the process of creating your own unique presets. The first dice adds random time, time mode, level balance between dual delays and serial/parallel dual delay mode. Use the first dice to quickly find an interesting starting point to work from. The second dice loads values from a random pre-existing preset. Use the first dice to modify dual time settings further.
Time Razor is available now for €19, through 1 September 2023 (normal price €39, local VAT will be added, if required). The update is free for all license owners.
