Roland FP-7F Digital Piano with SuperNATURAL Piano Sound Engine

The new Roland FP-7F Digital Piano is the latest addition to Roland’s FP series piano and family. Spotting a compact, portable, stylish design and with built-in speakers, the contemporary piano will no doubt continue the legacy of being a top-seller in its range. The new FP-7F incorporates four major new features; SuperNATURAL Piano sound engine, a unique all-new PHA III Ivory Feel-S Keyboard with Escapement, an onboard looper and a vocal mic input with companion Harmony effects.

The Roland FP-7F represents Roland’s ongoing commitment to advanced technology and musical creativity. The FP-7F’s crown jewel is its SuperNATURAL Piano sound engine. This breakthru’ technology addresses previous three major elements ; velocity and key range gaps, and unnatural looping in note decay. The SuperNATURAL Piano technology enhances the gaps and creates the ultimate piano playing experience, delivering seamless variations in tone from pianissimo to fortissimo, notes that fade naturally without looping, and three-dimensional sound and response. The FP-7F’s unique all new PHA III Ivory Feel-S Keyboard with Escapement, delivers the same progressive hammer action and escapement mechanism. Additionally, this new keyboard gives players unmatched expression and performance authenticity, capable of transforming the most subtle finger nuances into sound. And also provides incredibly fast key-repetition action. Keyboard players can also fully optimise on the onboad looper. The looper enables a player record and play back their performance as a continuous audio loop. This is great for creating play-along backing, and unlimited overdubs can be added as well. Players can record the sounds of the FP-7F itself and from a connected vocal microphone. Additionally, loops create can be saved as WAV files to USB flash media and used with the FP-7F’s USB Audio Key playback feature.

In addition, the Roland FP-7F also features a built-in microphone input, for sing-along fun. The powerful onboard Harmony engine derived from BOSS VE-20 Vocal Processor  enables users add duet, trio, and quartet harmonies to their own voice with effects. To create the harmony voices, the Harmony engine automatically detects the chords the user plays on the keyboard in real time. The new, affordable and portable keyboard weight merely 24 kg. This compact contemporary piano is available in black and white finishes, and is great for songwriters, professional stage performers, and even home entertainment and enjoyment.

Yamaha TYROS 4 Arranger Workstation

The new Yamaha Tyros 4 Arranger Workstation Keyboard is an upgrade of Tyros 3. The Yamaha Tyros 4 features 61 keys FSX keyboard, 128-note Polyphony, 500 preset accompaniment styles powered by new Super Articulation and Mega voices, Super Articulation 2 Voices, Effects; Reverb, Chorus, DSP, Master Compressor, Master EQ and Part EQ, Controllers; Pitch bend and Modulation wheels, and Multi pads, Music Finder, One Touch setting (OTS), audio recorder and playback, TFT color display.

The Tyros 4 new Super Articulation pianos add more dynamic layers along with body resonance and hammer noise to create what can only be classed as a truly stunning piano, especially for a keyboard. The piano sounds are now Super Articulation sounds. Yamaha have also changed the velocity curve i.e.,  when you are playing the new sounds the dynamics are better to control and more naturally responsive than ever before. There are a lot of new sounds to the Tyros 4 and Yamaha has enhanced certain areas that had been long overdue and this next-generation Tyros can reproduce instruments and arrangements from over 500 different styles of music from around the world with the press of a button. Additionally,  you can also play the piano on its own without any other sounds or styles playing as the piano sound has being very well enhanced on the Tyros 4. The new 70 piece string/orchestra is amazing. With more accurate sampling and sound design, Yamaha have split the orchestral layers up the keyboard from bass through to violins so as you play the 61- note keyboard, it sounds as if a true orchestra is playing. Another newly enhanced feature is the Vocal Harmony 2 (VH2), using a new proper balanced TRS input, the new harmonizer breaks boundaries into new levels of quality and features. With Synth Vocoder features, now the vocoder will make an electronic emulation of your voice controlled by the notes you are playing and this is an icing on the cake. And with a host of uses and especially with the new high quality DSP processing on vocal section it truly topped off the Yamaha Tyros 4.

The Yamaha Tyros 4 is simply powerful. After two years of development Yamaha has done it again. And the new arranger workstation can simply blows the Tyros 3 away. If you are still doubtful about the Tyros 4 perhaps, you have not hear the keyboard or you could not hear what everyone else can hear. The portable keyboard weigh merely 14.5 kg.
